Product image zoom

Installing the product image zoom feature on your online shop couldn’t be easier. Simply log into your ekmPowershop.com online store and go to the ‘features’ area.

Amongst the list of feature icons you will see ‘Product Image Zoom’:

Click the icon and then hit the ‘Install Feature button:

Product image zoom is now installed on your online shop and ready to use!

Feature options

There are 3 options for where the zoom element is positioned, and how it behaves on your product page. To get to this configuration page, simply click on ‘Product Image Zoom’ on your ‘Installed Feature’ list on the top left (this page will also appear immediately after you install the feature).

1. ‘Zoom in Place’

A zoomed in version of the image will appear on top of the main image when you hover your mouse over it:

To use this option, simply click on it and hit the ‘update’ button at the bottom of the page.

2. ‘Zoom to Right’

A zoomed in version of the image will appear at the right hand side of the main image when you hover your mouse over it. If you want to use this one, simply click it then hit ‘update’

3. ‘Zoom to Left’

A zoomed in version of the image will appear at the left hand side of the main image when you hover your mouse over it.

‘Border Colour’

All zoomed in images have a border. You can customise the colour of the border using the colour picker at the bottom of the page:

Once you are happy with the colour, hit the green tick on the colour picker then press the ‘update’ button at the bottom of the page.

Advanced options

And for those who want to control positioning of the zoom feature completely, we have a couple of advanced options:

1. ‘Horizontal Position’

Slide the bar to alter the position of the zoomed version of your image left or right. Or enter a numeric value in pixels.

2. ‘Vertical Position’

Slide the bar to alter the position of the zoomed version of your image left or right. Or enter a numeric value in pixels.

3. ‘Lens Effect

When customers hover over your product image, a rectangular lens will appear. Tick or un-tick the toggle box to have the lens effect on or off.
